YEAR 3 CLASS TEACHER (Required from 6th January 2025 – Maternity Cover)

INNER LONDON SCALE M1 (£38 766) to UPS2 (£58 138) pay award pending (based on experience)

We are looking to appoint a Year 3 class teacher to work from 6th January 2025 to 31st August 2025 to cover a maternity leave position. Depending upon the needs of the school and your own circumstances, this post may be continued or may become permanent. Experienced teachers and those looking to further develop their career are particularly encouraged to apply.

Beaconsfield Primary School is a 2FE over-subscribed, welcoming school with ‘outstanding pupil behaviour’ where pupils consistently exceed national averages in both attainment and progress. We offer a very supportive environment for staff and pupils. The school has grown in size and maintained pupil numbers over past years with an attached 28 place SEND ARP Unit (Additional Resource Provision)as part of the school.

We provide extensive training opportunities for all staff including those new to teaching. Classes follow a well-planned curricular syllabus with teachers encouraged to follow and adapt existing, exciting and stimulating units of study. We have a large library, a food technology room along with specialist music and PE teachers to increase lesson quality and reduce teacher planning workload. Our most recent Ofsted report (April 2023) highlights that ‘Teachers benefit from the commitment of leaders to prioritise their training and development with staff studying nationally accredited qualifications, as well as regular ongoing training’.

* The ability to demonstrate very good/ outstanding classroom practice

* Experience of Year 2, 3 or 4 teaching (this may be through block teaching practice for ECT/ NQTs)

* High expectations for all pupils’ learning, behavior and a commitment to all pupils achieving success

* Energy, enthusiasm and a positive approach to developing a stimulating & creative curriculum and classroom
